Le 27 juillet 1837, la vie de Marc Campbell, un adolescent de 16 ans habitant à Pointe-aux-Trembles, change pour toujours alors qu'il joint officiellement les rangs des Patriotes. Témoin important des événements qui mèneront aux Rébellions de 1837-1838 dans le Bas-Canada, Marc est incarcéré le 28 janvier 1838, à la prison au Pied-Du-Courant.
