Young witch Heidi thinks her friend's new pen is super-cool: lollipop-shaped, glittery, strawberry-scented, and it lights up! When the pen goes missing, Lucy thinks Heidi stole it. Can Heidi's spell fix everything? Though the kids' interests and friendship dynamics ring true, the Heckelbecks' witch powers feel underdeveloped and convenient in this story.
