以《稗海》本为底本，参校其他刻本及《太平广记》、《绀珠集》、《类说》等书。十卷，附《补遗》一卷。古代神怪小说集。集中纂录了各种神鬼狐精与佛门休咎的故事。汉文帝曾在宣室召见贾谊问鬼神之事，故取以为书名。书中一些佛教故事，也可见出印度文化对中国文学的影响，是研究中印文化交流的资料。全书内容丰富，涉及面广，常为后世小说、戏曲所取材。
