The Ziz, a wonderful bird who lived long ago, is so big and clumsy that he can't keep from bumping into things.       Ziz, an oversize and clumsy bird, flies to Mt. Sinai to tell God about his latest mistake. God asks him to "bring back the hardest word." After much searching and guessing, Ziz learns the word God is looking for is "sorry." The connection to Yom Kippur is tenuous at best, focusing on forgiveness, an integral concept of the holiday. The didactic text is illustrated with amateurish artwork.
