      Gr 1-3-Young readers will have a blast with second-grader Al� Tahir, his Pakistani family, and his school friends in this fun, Spanish-language chapter book series. Colorful illustrations and short, fast-paced chapters will have readers joining Al� in a paper airplane competition, a fun-filled field trip to the museum, a quick visit to the supermarket, and in celebrating Eid with loved ones. Al� and his friends have positive interactions and relationships in which they help one another. The title character also enjoys time with his loving family, including his sometimes-troublemaking little brother. The series is full of kid-friendly high jinks and relevant situations that will resonate with young readers.
