来自未来的机器人少年欧克为了探访八十年代地球人的生活状态，从时空隧道回到了1980年内蒙地区的一个小山村。它和留守女童夕夕成为了朋友。欧克用自己的能力，温暖了全村的孩子。但是很快它就被村里的恶霸胡大牙盯上了。胡大牙想把欧克卖了还赌债。在全村孩子的共同努力下，他的奸计未能得逞。由于科考队来村里开采铀矿，欧克不得不和夕夕离开村庄，去寻找夕夕的父亲。最后，夕夕发现父亲已经有了新的家庭。欧克用自己最后的能量安慰了绝望的夕夕，自己却化为灰烬，留下了一颗水晶般的心。夕夕于是带着这颗心踏上了回家之路。
