È colpevole o innocente? È davvero un mostro, come lo definisce la pubblica accusa? O è soltanto un ragazzo nero, e in quanto tale colpevole designato, sospetto per definizione?
Fino all'ultimo non lo sapremo: faremo i conti, invece, con i nostri pregiudizi, le nostre ambivalenze, che oscillano di scena in scena.
Come il suo avvocato difensore, come i suoi stessi genitori, non sappiamo se fidarci completamente di Steve.
