唐僧师徒来到一座高山，唐僧腹中饥饿，叫悟空去化斋。

悟空临走前，在唐僧三人周围画了一个圈，嘱咐他们不要走出这个圈。

唐僧等得心焦，八戒撺掇着唐僧和沙和尚先往前赶路，结果被妖怪抓走了。

悟空发现三人不见了，便去找妖怪要人，金箍棒却被妖怪用一个法宝套走了。

悟空请来托塔李天王、哪吒三太子、火德星君、黄河河伯，甚至十八罗汉，都无法降伏这个妖怪。

最后，太上老君下界收服了妖怪。
