K-Gr 3-This set covers basics concepts (sorting, size, counting, shapes, opposites, and patterns) in simple declarative sentences along with many visual examples. The accompanying photographs are bright and kid-friendly. As is implied by the series title, Crayola plays an important role in the explanations, as well as being an overt advertisement. The Spanish translation is not spotless, but, for the most part, it is accurate. VERDICT A good resource to help reinforce basic elementary school concepts, if advertising aimed at children does not represent a conflict.
