"Il gatto nero" è il più famoso racconto dell'orrore di Edgar Allan Poe e un classico letterario. È considerata la storia più spaventosa nella storia della letteratura. Fu adattato al cinema nel 1934 dalla Universal Pictures, in un film con Béla Lugosi e Boris Karloff.
